Bio

I have been working with clay for nearly a decade, starting out creating small bead designs for jewellers around the world, testing techniques and ideas in miniature, and this has gradually evolved in to producing larger work.

The real thrill of ceramics for me comes from the firing process. I love to play with fire. My work explores the effects of flame and smoke on the ceramic surface, from teasing colours from a glaze, to controlling how the smoke interacts with the clay, the final piece has a finish that cannot be reproduced due to the nature of the flames.
